Supplementary Report Volume Descriptions
Volume 1: addresses the relevant matters raised in submissions to the EIS and identifies the key issues, the predicted environmental impacts and recommended mitigation measures for the project without local connections.
Appendix A – Submission Summary and Response Reference:
A table of all the matters raised in the submissions on the EIS with a cross-reference to where each matter is addressed in the Supplementary Report.
Appendix B – Response to Submissions:
Contains a summary of the issues raised in submissions to the EIS and specific responses to these issues. Also includes corrections and clarification of the EIS.
Appendix C – Community Consultation Report:
Describes the process and outcomes of consultation conducted during the public notification period for the Northern Link EIS, from Monday 27 October 2008 to Monday 22 December 2008.
Appendix D – Environmental Management Plan:
The Draft Outline Environmental Management Plan (EMP) establishes the environmental objectives and performance criteria identified for the Northern Link Project for both the design and construction phase and also the operation and maintenance phase of the project. Outline mitigation measures are also included based on the environmental assessment as undertaken within both the EIS and the Supplementary Report for each of the design and construction and operation and maintenance phases of the project.
Appendix E – Supplementary Technical Papers:
Technical reports dealing with some aspects of the supplementary report investigations.
Volume 2 – Project Design: Detailed engineering drawings to assist in understanding the complexity of the project design (without local connections).

Volume 1: The EIS identifies the key issues, the predicted environmental impacts and recommended mitigation measures.
Volume 2: Detailed engineering drawings to assist in understanding the complexity of the reference design.
Volume 3: Technical reports dealing with the biophysical and socio-economic aspects of the environment.
In Brief: Provides a broad overview of the Northern Link EIS, including the existing environment and the predicted project impacts. It also provides a summary of the conclusions reached and the recommendations put forward to the Coordinator-General. To gain further understanding of the project, the In Brief should be read in conjunction with the EIS.
